Cilip in London invites applications for a bursary of £600 to visit one of
the new EU countries. The purpose of the trip should be for professional
development and focused on a specific area of interest.
Applicants, who must be members of the Branch, are asked to provide the
following information:
- A short CV
- Country to be visited and why
- Specific topics you wish to discuss with colleagues in the country
rather than types of LIS to visit
- Any foreign language ability (sometimes a ‘bridge’ language such as
French, German or Russian may be useful in the new EU states)
- When you wish to travel
- Any contacts you have in the country you wish to visit
The successful applicant will be expected to write a report (approximately
1000 words) on the visit, including high and low points, and how the
experience may help future recipients of the bursary.
The closing date for applications is 31 May 2008. Please send your
