The following post will be advertised in the next CILIP Gazette:
Project Librarian (£18,907 - £20,736 p.a.)
- fixed term post
until December 2010
The Working Class Movement Library, supported by the National Lottery
through the Heritage Lottery Fund, is launching a 3-year project to improve access to its collections. The funding will open up Web access to both
print and archive resources, and will allow us to offer new ways to interpret
these.
We are seeking a librarian
to catalogue and preserve our collections of pamphlets and similar material. These are currently largely uncatalogued:
they describe the history of ordinary people, and provide a context within
which to understand economic and social change.
You will be well-organised, flexible,
and happy to work as part of a team. You will be keen to promote our resources via
the Web and through educational activities.
Application forms and further
details from WCML, 51 The Crescent, Salford M5 4WX. Tel:
0161 736 3601; email [log in to unmask]
CVs will not be accepted. Closing date: 14 March 2008.
