Project Manger – GIS, CAD, Civil Engineering

A varied and interesting position undertaking a range of civil engineering
and project work. You will design and implement one-off capital projects,
managing staff or Contractors, and will work with landowners to facilitate
action to avert flooding. You will also design and implement a wide range
of street based engineering functions including inspection and maintenance
of cycle ways, footpaths, street lighting and furniture and unadopted
highways.
Would suit someone with:
Civil Engineering Degree/HNC.
Knowledge and skills relating to civil engineering and highway design and
practice
Report writing, CAD and GIS software experience.
Knowledge of contract procedures including letting and supervision of
contracts, preparation of estimates and drawing.
Certified under the Red Card certification Scheme.
You need to be able to set out, use total station and other engineering
instruments without supervision. Your personal qualities will include good
communication skills, a flexible approach, confidence and ability to take
initiative and work under pressure, the ability to be assertive but also
diplomatic and approachable and to work effectively as part of a team.
While the working hours are generally Monday to Friday you will need to be
willing to work outside normal office hours including weekends where
necessary either for particular service needs or to deal with emergency
situations. You will need to travel to and move around building sites. A
full driving licence is required.
