As part of their regional workshop programme, Netskills will be delivering the following workshops at London Metropolitan University and Henley Management College:
1. e-Learning Essentials, 8th – 10th April at Henley Management College
-----------------------------------------------------
Over three consecutive days of training, we'll help you build a solid foundation in e-learning design, development and delivery.
This course combines teaching, practical work, research and discussion to give you the knowledge and skills you need to produce effective e-Learning. Although intensive, we still take the friendly and flexible approach that Netskills has always used.
It also provides an accelerated pathway to a professional e-Learning qualification through registration on the Netskills/BTEC Professional Development Programme.
2. Creating Dynamic e-Learning with Dreamweaver, 1st April at London Metropolitan University
-----------------------------------------------------
Adobe's Dreamweaver, the leading edge web development tool, can equally be used to create dynamic e-learning applications. Through the use of templates and the Dreamweaver CourseBuilder Extension this workshop will guide participants through the design and development of dynamic, interactive, and high order e-learning.
3. Web Quests, Treasure Hunts, Hotlists and Subject Samplers, 2nd April at London Metropolitan University
-----------------------------------------------------
Fed up with passive, page turning e-learning? Engage your learners in active, dynamic, enquiry based e-learning by developing realistic problem solving activities that encourage the application of analytical, creative and critical thinking skills.
4. Mobile Learning: Education on Demand, 3rd April at London Metropolitan University
-----------------------------------------------------
M-Learning can free learners from the classroom and enable them to study wherever and whenever they choose. Organisations can adapt academic and administrative functions to suit the demands of their new audience: the mobile learner, already comfortable with smart phones, hand-held media devices and Personal Digital Assistants. However, what issues arise from such technologies? How suitable are they pedagogically and practically?
This workshop explores the principles and practice of m-Learning. It is for anyone who is interested in using mobile devices in education, or whose organisations already are, or those who simply wish to know more about the emerging technologies.
