AUBURN, ALABAMA 36849. The Department of Geology and Geography at
Auburn University invites applications for a nine-month appointment as a
full-time Visiting Assistant Professor of Geography to begin August 16,
2008. Compensation includes salary and benefits. The successful
candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses such as World
Regional Geography, Geographic Methods, and Cartography. A PhD or
advanced ABD in geography is required. The candidate selected for this
position must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States
on the date the appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working
legally for the proposed term of employment, and must be able to
communicate effectively in English. Applicants should submit detailed
