In general terms it would be hard to argue that such a device was the
repsonsibility of ECE services as it is related to the person's concerns
reagrding the local environment. However, given the minimal cost of such
devices these days, I would happily consider purchasing one if it meant
that the patient had more confidence in and would more fully use a
system that the NHS had invested 1000s in.
