spirit, passion and capability to join our expanding Statistics
department, within our Medicines Development Centres, which have
responsibility for defining the Clinical & Regulatory Strategy to deliver
GSK programs and projects on time, and on budget.
As a Statistician you will be responsible use your statistical expertise
to contribute to the design and analysis of Phase II-IV clinical trials,
interpret results, and subsequent use of the results for regulatory
submissions and publications. You may also research innovative statistical
methodologies for study design and analysis to enhance clinical
development strategies. Working closely with physicians, clinical research
scientists, regulatory colleagues and data managers (US and UK based) you
will utilise your excellent team-working and planning skills to provide
quality input into international clinical development programmes.
You will need an MSc in Statistics (or equivalent) with related experience
in the Pharmaceutical, CRO or related industries. These openings will be
most suitable for successful Statisticians wanting to work in an
environment that can provide new challenges and ongoing opportunities for
development. Other vacancies might be best suited to Statisticians
looking to develop further following their initial move into
pharmaceutical statistics. In both cases, good understanding of the
regulatory processes and experience of influencing regulatory agencies on
key statistical issues would be considered an advantage, as is previous
experience in the Oncology and Inflammation therapy areas.
