We have a Medical Research Council-funded PhD studentship to look at
modelling the relationship between homocysteine and cardiovascular
disease. This will be a mix of of statistical modelling and
epidemiological work, with the balance of the two determined by the
student's interests and abilities, and will be supervised by me and
Liam Smeeth. The studentships will run for three years from October
2008 and will provide fees plus a stipend for UK residents. Other EU
nationals may receive tuition fees but not a stipend. Closing date is
Weds 5th March.

I'd be happy to talk informally to anyone interested in the project
