To be held at Lascelles Williams Training Room (Room G41), Kilburn
Building, The University of Manchester, Oxford Road, Manchester, M13 9PL
Friday, 14 March 2008, 10.00 – 16.00
This workshop will include an introduction to the data services offered by
Census.ac.uk and is aimed at users studying or working in the UK higher
and further education sector, but is not limited to those already
registered to use the census.
This day will focus on two widely used census products which are available
through census.ac.uk: aggregate statistics (tabular data down to small
areas) and cross-sectional microdata (SARs anonymised individual-level
data). Users will hear about the key features of these data and get the
opportunity to work with them in hands-on sessions. The day will also look
at ways in which these two types of census data can be used together to
increase their potential.
