MSc and PhD Studentships in Social Statistics and Demography

These funding opportunities are for an MSc in Social Statistics or Demography followed by PhD funding for 3 years. If you have completed an accredited Masters training programme already, these studentships could also be used to fund a 3 year PhD programme without MSc in Social Staistics or Demography.
The Division of Social Statistics is a leading international centre for research in Demography and Social Statistics. Recent successes include:
* a new Social Statistics Research Centre building,
* the award by the ESRC of the Centre for Population Change - a new demographic centre of excellence
* the award by the ESRC of the National Centre for Research Methods
Our expertise spans sample survey methods, statistical modelling, demography, reproductive health, migration and the analysis of living standards. Our empirical work covers both the UK and the rest of Europe and developing countries throughout the world.
Applicants from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds are welcome.
