indeed, and i am always very careful when i try to talk of normal and void
the term pathological- most often such states are *statistically* abnormal,
not a sign of illness

yup, I have been involved in editing a practical magic book where one of the
ritual activities is putting on a hands-free phone kit (and turning the
phone OFF) and then going out into the world and having societal permission
to talk out loud to yourself- very interesting piece of work
