Dear Colleague
As part of their regional workshop programme, Netskills will be delivering the following workshops at the University of the West of England in February:
1. Databases on the Web, 5th February 2008
-----------------------------------------------------
Being able to integrate database technology with the provision of web content is now a common expectation for web site developers. Harnessing these techniques can improve the management, maintenance and scalability of your web sites. This practical workshop teaches you the skills needed to provide web access to existing databases - enabling you to start developing web sites using database-managed content with confidence.
2. Writing for the Web, 6th February 2008
-----------------------------------------------------
What is so different about writing for the web?
The ability to write and re-purpose content for the web is an important skill. Visitors can abandon your site at the click of a button if they are not enticed by what you have written. This workshop will explore a range of proven practical techniques that you will be able to take away and apply directly to your own web site authoring.
