dear darren.
thanks for your help about the flexible factorial design. with your advice
to specify the second group backwards i got an design which looks good to
me.
to prevent similar "stupid" questions from me in the future i would like to
ask you to give a little bit more information about how to specify the
conditions in the flexible factorial design. i couldn't understand your
reply right away.
if you don't mind could you explain the condition specification in detail.
for example in a case like mine:
2 groups (1,2) with 2 conditions (A,B) for each subject in each group gives
4 con-images to define in the conditions (A1 B1 A2 B2). i got 3 factors
(subject= factor 1, group = factors 2, condition = factor 3).
so what information give me the single numbers in a [n n; n n] matrix?
in regard to your former mail about the 2 x 2 ANOVA with a 2 group and 3
condition design i interpreted your condition specification for the first
group [1 1; 1 2; 1 3] as follows: the first numbers of each part (the 1)
says that the images are related to the first level of the second factor
(group). the second numbers give information about the image order.
so i would interpret the specification for your second group [2 1; 2 2; 2
3] in a similar way: the first numbers 2 as the second level of factor 2
(group), the 1,2,3 as the image order.
where is my mistake?
thanks markus
