Four new positions are currently available with Compass Film – Grants
Officer, Commercial Sponsorship Officer, Advertising Officer and Web
Developer/Designer.


Compass Film CIC is a vibrant not-for profit cultural organisation based in
Bristol. We are committed to showcasing marginal film culture, as well as

Available positions:

Grants Officer – part-time (February–November)

The Grants Officer will make applications on behalf of Compass Film CIC for
major funding projects. Applicants must have proven experience in this area,
and should be able to show experience in securing income from major sources.
You will need good organisational skills, be able to work independently and
to research, write and deliver proposals to a high standard. In addition to
delivering initial proposals, applicants must follow up any queries or
requests associated with the funding applications and effectively
communicate any administrative and reporting requirements needed in the
future. This position is paid on a commission basis – the rate will be
discussed at interview stage.


Commercial Sponsorship Officer – part-time (February–October)

Bristol-based. The Commercial Sponsorship Officer will make applications on
behalf of Compass Film CIC for commercial sponsorship opportunities.
Applicants should demonstrate a proven ability in sourcing and procuring
commercial sponsorship deals. You will need excellent communication skills,
be able to liaise with local, regional and national businesses, and should
demonstrate keen initiative and an ability to spot opportunities relevant
for the company. In addition to researching and developing proposal for
potential corporate sponsors, applicants must manage any requirements
associated with successful sponsorship deals and effectively communicate any
administrative and reporting requirements needed in the future. This
position is paid on a commission basis – the rate will be discussed at
interview stage.


Advertising Officer – part-time (February–September)

Bristol-based. The Advertising Officer will sell space within the company's
annual programme of events published in autumn. Applicants should have
previous experience in successful advertising sales, and have a good
awareness of the market. Ideally, applicants should have a strong existing
contact base. Excellent presentation and proposal writing skills are ideal
abilities in applicants as well as a willingness to source sales through
face-to-face contact with local businesses. This position is paid on a
commission basis – the rate will be discussed at interview stage.


Web developer – part-time ongoing voluntary position

Bristol-based. The position requires applicants to develop the design and
structure of the company's existing website and incorporate a basic content
management system. Applicants should have experience in web design and
development, and have a good level of creative vision and initiative.



Closing date for applications is Monday 28th January. We will contact you by
