Out of cuiosity, I looked at what Gratian's Decretum says about the
consecration of churches, & it points to Solomon's Temple instead of
Revelation. The Patrologia Latina had one interesting but not terribly
useful reference it Sicard of Cremona, Summa de ecclesiasticis officiis,
book I, c. 11, speaking of the reconsecration of churches. See PL 213.38.
