  Un nuevo documental aborda las "matanzas escondidas" de Franco


      Un semanal italiano publicará esta semana una cinta inédita en
      España sobre los muertos arrojados a las fosas comunes

Un nuevo documental italiano muestra las "matanzas escondidas" durante 
la dictadura española del general Francisco Franco (1939-1975), con 
material inédito en España. La cinta, titulada /La última cruzada/, está 
dirigida por dos periodistas del semanal italiano /Diario/. Recoge 
entrevistas con familiares de víctimas del franquismo y quiere deshacer 
la imagen "benévola" que, según su opinión, aún conserva la dictadura.

La cinta, inédita en España, ha sido realizada por el director de la 
conocida revista italiana, Enrico Deaglio, y el periodista Beppe 
Cremagnani, autores de otros documentales de gran éxito como /Cuando 
estaba Silvio/, que mostraban los errores, manías, y los asuntos oscuros 
del ex presidente del Gobierno Silvio Berlusconi.

Uno de los dos autores ha explicado que la idea de realizar el 
documental surgió cuando comenzaron a ver publicadas "las necrológicas 
de los fusilados durante las posguerra" en el periódico EL PAÍS. El 
documental se repartirá con el semanario a partir del próximo jueves.

*De la Ley de Memoria Histórica a los familiares*

Cremagnani explica que el documental cuenta cómo se ha llegado a la Ley 
de la Memoria Histórica, aprobada el pasado mes de diciembre por el 
Parlamento español, intercalando entrevistas a los familiares de algunas 
de las víctimas de la dictadura que fueron arrojadas a las fosas 
comunes. Al documental dedica hoy toda un amplio artículo el diario 
/Corriere della Sera/ bajo el título /Las matanzas escondidas de Franco/.

El filme recorre la historia del descubrimiento de algunas fosas comunes 
en España, entre ellas el lugar donde se cree que reposan los restos del 
poeta Federico García Lorca. Los dos periodistas entrevistaron también 
al ponente del Partido Socialista Español (PSOE) en la tramitación de la 
Ley de la Memoria Histórica, José Torres Mora, quien acudió también al 
Vaticano para asistir a la beatificación de 498 mártires españoles de la 
"persecución religiosa durante la Guerra Civil", pues en lista de los 
mártires también estaba su tío abuelo.

*Una dictadura "poco conocida en Italia"*

"Nos pareció increíble el llamado /movimiento de los nietos/, los 
familiares de las personas que fueron fusiladas o hechas desaparecer", 
explica el autor, que señala su sorpresa al conocer que han sido 
inhumados cerca de 130.000 cadáveres. "Creemos que en Italia, y en buena 
parte del mundo, se sabe poco de lo que sucedió durante la dictadura 
franquista, considerada hasta ahora una dictadura benévola", agrega.

El periodista destaca que en el DVD también se habla del "destino masivo 
de los presos republicanos a los trabajos forzados", para construir 
entre otros el Valle de los Caídos, donde está enterrado Franco.
