To all Members of CUTG
The President of the CUTG has formulated a reponse to the new format of
Research Assessment (REF or "Research Excellence Framework"), which can be
downloaded here as a Word document
(<http://www.cutg.ac.uk/ref-response.doc>) or as a PDF document
(<http://www.cutg.ac.uk/ref-response.pdf>). This needs to reach HEFCE by 14
February.
The HEFCE consultation document is at
http://www.hefce.ac.uk/ (section “Research”)
You may also want to consult the Expert Group’s recommendations on the "Use
of research metrics in the arts and humanities" of October 2006 at
http://www.ahrc.ac.uk/about/policy/response/report_of_ahrc_hefce_expert_group_on_research_metrics.asp
If anyone would like to add points to the response, please let the
President, Prof. Martina Lauster ([log in to unmask]), know by 10 February.
Thank you very much.
