Hi Dave!
Thanks a lot for your answer.
Indeed I rebooted all three elements (CentOS, vmware and Windows)
about 20 times... no change. The second installation which I have
shows the same problem.
The problem seems to be known in the net:
http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=1847
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/mandriva-linux-help/17366-10-0-determining-ip-information-eth0-failed.html
http://www.experts-exchange.com/Operating_Systems/Linux/Linux_Setup/Q_20870708.html
My problem is when I am trying the recommended command "ifup/ifdown
eth0", it simpley tells me: command not found. Is this due to the
light FSL-version of Centos?
When I am thinking, I notice that this problem came after I accepted
the updates (about 120). I allways rerun the
/usr/bin/vmware-config-tools.pl afterwards and everything was fine.
How would you proceed to resolve that problem?
Thanks a lot!
Markus
