Conflict. Please be reminded that abstracts are due this
Friday (January 25). We welcome papers from a broad
spectrum of perspectives. If you're interested please
submit an abstract by this Friday.

------- Call for Abstracts ---------
The Annals of the Association of American Geographers invites
abstracts of papers to be considered for a special issue on
Geographies of Peace and Conflict. This will be the first of
a series of annual special issues that highlight the work of
geographers around a significant global theme. Papers are sought
from a broad spectrum of scholars who address environmental,
social, political, and methodological issues from a geographical
perspective, including original research in areas such as
peace studies, the human and environmental impacts of armed
conflict, the relationship between conflict and resources, the
role of GISciences in achieving peace, peace and sustainability,
and other relevant areas.
Abstracts of no more than 250 words should be submitted by
25 January 2008 to [log in to unmask] Final papers of 6000-8000
words will be due on 1 August 2008 for publication in 2009.
All submitted papers will be subject to full peer review.
