Apologies for cross-posting.
On Thursday 7th February there will be a forum to discuss individualised
in-course assessment of students in Statistics. This meeting has arisen
out of the recent PiSA (Plagiarism in Statistics Assessment) project,
during which it became apparent that similar approaches were being
followed by academics at different institutions. (No suggestion of
plagiarism among the academics is implied here!) Several practitioners
have agreed to attend the forum to share their experiences of
individualised assessment and/or demonstrate their methodology.
The meeting has been sponsored by the RSS Centre for Statistical
Education and will take place from 11.00-15.00 in the Turing Building at
the Wheatley Campus of Oxford Brookes University. A buffet lunch will
be provided.
Anyone interested in this field is welcome to attend, either to describe
their own work or to join in the discussion. However, for catering
purposes prior registration is essential.
