The pickatlas uses the older mni2tal transform based on Matthew Brett's
code. The more recent icbm_spm2tal transform developed and validated by
Jack Lancaster can be implemented in the pickatlas simply by adding a
few files to the WFU_Pickatlas distribution.
Instructions:
1. Goto: http://www.brainmap.org/icbm2tal/index.html and download:
a:) icmb_spm2tal.m
b:) tal2icbm_spm.m
2. Place these files in your WFU_Pickatlas directory.
3. Download: http://fmri.wfubmc.edu/static/wfu_icbm2tal_files.zip
3. Unzip and place in your WFU_PickAtlas directory. Overwrite the
existing files.

Subject: [SPM] Coordinates difference between WFU_PickAtlas and
icbm_spm2tal
Importance: High
Dear experts,
I realized that Talairach coordinates converted by WFU_PickAtlas and by
icbm_spm2tal are different.
For instance, MNI 54,0,-3 is converted into 48.9863 -1.7646 2.2362 by
icbm_spm2tal, but into 53.46 0.12595 2.5169 by WFU_PickAtlas.
Their algorithms would be different each other, but there are quite big
differences.
I wonder why they are different and which one is better.
And is there any other tools that many people are using?
Thanks,
Chobok
