apologies for cross postings
These two programs are availble either in distance or in internal modes to
both Australian and International Students.
The School of Human Services at Griffith University has recently revamped
its 4 course Graduate Certificate in Disability Studies and Masters of
Human Services (Disability Studies) programs. Without going into complex
details as the information sheets are included below, students now have
upon completing the 4 course certificate the capacity to continue their
study (another 4 courses) to obtain a Masters degree. Both programs are
available in on campus and distance (external) modes. I have managed to
secure admission criteria to the Grad Cert that does not require a
Bachelor’s degree, rather one basis for entry is having at least three
years industry or community experience.
I am very keen to encourage people with disability and their allies to
gain further skills and knowledge and obtain a qualification so that we
can better fully assert our leadership roles and mentoring in the
disability field, in social reforms and the wider community. Griffith
University provides various levels of disability support to students.
If you have questions please do not hesitate to email me. Finally, please
could you pass this email onto any other people you think might be
interested.
