Ethnic segregation in Britain: evidence and interpretation
Ludi Simpson, Centre for Census and Survey Research, University of
Manchester.
Ethnic segregation is at the centre of discussion of community cohesion, in
particular whether it is changing over time. The presentation reviews the
measures and the evidence, the origins of population clustering, and its
representation in political debate.
