Hello Peter and All
Thanks for your feedback - I really like the points
that Brian Wakeman has raised on the
BERA-TEACHER-RESEARCHER list that I also convene - a
JISC list that presumably would be closed down by BERA
as it does not relate to a BERA Teacher Development
SIG but to BERA Practitioner Researcher SIG where it
was set up to enable discussions by teachers.
Regards to all,
Sarah
PS Not sure what the attachment was. It didn't come
from my posting - so maybe not opening it is a good
idea even if it does reach anyone...
Here are Brian points:
Hello Sarah and all.......
Yes similarly......................... I have
unresolved questions:
* will this have an impact on the wider networking
* are there restrictions on who can contribute?
* do you have to be a member of BERA to participate?
* what about folks who cannot afford BERA fees?
* what of those who for their own reasons choose not
to associate with BERA(members of other associations;
subject groups; prof associations)
* Wasn't the idea of the discussions that they were
open to all?
* Do we want or need central control?
* Wasn't part of this the free-flow?
* Why make changes to something that is OK?
* What do other people feel?
Regards
Brian
