medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
as i recall, there is a color restoration of the main portal in one of the
Speculum articles.
i don't have time to hunt it up on JSTOR just now.
but, the colors were pretty muted, not nearly garrish enough for the Young
People of Today.
anyway, as Minot Kerr (author of that bibliography) says, Conant changed his
mind all the time...
