The next meeting in the series of seven being organised by the Education
Librarians Group at Seven Stories, the Centre for Children's Books in
Newcastle upon Tyne, takes place on Wednesday 16 January 2008, 4 - 6 p.m.
The speaker will be Yinka Sunmonu who will talk about 'Reaching out to Black
and Ethnic Minority (BME) children and youth through reading'.
Yinka Sunmonu set up the website Ebony Reads in 2004 to promote reading
amongst the black community and feature novels by black writers. She has
recently been working on BME reading promotion with London schools, as part
of Black History Month.
