International Summer School in Forced Migration
30 June–18 July 2008
The Refugee Studies Centre, part of Oxford University’s Department of
International Development, recently celebrated 25 years of research, teaching
and international outreach in the multidisciplinary field of forced migration
studies. The Centre combines world-class academic research and teaching with a
deep commitment to improving the lives of some of the world’s most
disadvantaged people.
The International Summer School in Forced Migration, now in its 19th year,
offers an intensive, interdisciplinary and participative approach to the study
of forced migration. It aims to enable people working with refugees and other
forced migrants to reflect critically on the forces and institutions that
dominate the world of the displaced.
Participants
Experienced practitioners involved with assistance and policymaking for forced
migrants. Graduate researchers specialising in the study of forced migration.
Fees
£2,800. Early-bird fee (apply and pay by 31 March): £2,600.
