Research Assistant/Associate (Healthcare / Cancer Public Health)
A Research Assistant/Associate is sought, to analyse and enhance cancer registration and healthcare-related routine datasets; and to help with the design and analysis of patient education interventions on cancer treatment choices and outcomes. The post-holder will work closely with a Clinical Senior Research Associate (Dr Lyratzopoulos) and will have a working relationship with the Cancer Registry of the East of England (ECRIC/Eastern Cancer Registration and Information Centre) and the Eastern Region Public Health Observatory (ERPHO). Candidates should possess a postgraduate qualification in statistics (or a closely-related discipline) and/or have relevant experience and advanced knowledge and experience of statistical analysis and database management software. The appointment will initially be to 30 September 2009 on the Research Assistant/Associate grade salary scale £21,682 to £24,403 or £25,134 to £32,796 per annum according to qualifications and experience.
