An Introduction to Usher syndrome

We are pleased to announce the publication of An Introduction to Usher
Syndrome. Usher syndrome is an hereditory condition that affects between 3-
6% of the deaf and hard of hearing population. It is characterised by
progressive loss of vision (Retinitis Pigmentosa). This booklet is a
general introduction to the syndrome aimed at people who want a broad
overview - such as parents/carers of people recently diagnosed, opticians,
audiologists..
The booklet is available in electronic form in English, and print and
electronic form in Italian.
A seminar will be held in Rome on the 30 November (in Italian, Italian Sign
Language (LIS), Tactile Sign Language (on request) and American Sign
