Hi Diana
Students without a full assessment/statement need to be assessed fully
for exam concessions by a specialist teacher, usually employed at the FE
College. Evidence is then documented on a specific form provided by the
Joint Council of Qualifications and forwarded to the board through the
exams office. All assessment details, results, scores must be kept on
file for evidence/audit purposes.
The JCQ website has the latest documentation for all access arrangements
and strict guidelines for the required evidence needed for ALL
difficulties/disabilities.
Hope this helps
Maria

Hello all
I hope you can help.
We are a further education college.
We have students who disclose a disability but then do not have any
evidence to corroborate
and we have problems with this as exam boards etc require reports and
evidence. Secondly this is a sensitive area particularly for some
students who may have a mental health difficulty, and who are not
required to provide and further details. However, in relation to
medical problems and/ or sensory disabilities where materials or
assessment methods may need to be modified we are required to evidence.
I would really appreciate your advice. What happen in your institutions?
Many thanks
Diana
