But presumably there'd be no problems sync'ing with the RM Asus?

interactions
Hi Andy
Information from Colin Chambers, our developer responsible for "Moodle
on a Stick" is that it should run on anything which can run Moodle (on
the server side). That means Linux platforms for instance but it does
not mean Nokia mobile phones. The one caveat to that is that there's
only a Windows installer provided right now so an appropriate installer
for the platform would have to be found.
As far as MyStuff is concerned our intention is that this works with
"Moodle on a Stick" - this gives great potential for learners to carry
their portfolios around with them on laptops or USB sticks and know that
the content is also being backed up every time they synchronise with the
institutional server.
You're right to identify the great possibilities of using other mobile
devices in this way but that would mean developing Moodle itself for
these other platforms and that certainly is not on our roadmap right
now...

Dear Niall,
Is there anything on your road map about developing this for mobile
devices, or allowing the collection of assets to sync to your My Stuff
eportfolio? I thinking this all very good for people with access to PCs,
but in some circumstances students may want to use mobile devices but
not necessarily synchronously through a mobile moodle.
Cheers
Andy

drive, meaning students don't have to be connected to the system to
participate.... it syncs when the student connects to the net.... very
smart.... Available from the OU website as an Open Source project....

our college, students are required to solve case studies and scenario
worksheets. To achieve this, students may need to exchange ideas and
solutions with the tutor and with each other. We are currently exploring
ways students can do these activities away from the lecturer, without
the need to come to the college campus. Moodle, with features like
forums, quick mail and chat appears to be an appropriate platform to
facilitate
asynchronous and synchronous interaction. If anyone out there is
currently using it with any groups of learners, can you please share
with us your experience in terms of how successful/unsuccessful this has
been and any useful tips and practices that you have already discovered.
Further, please let us know if you are aware of platforms/technologies
other than Moodle where this can be achieved in a better way.
