Dear Cornelia,
I guess the new SPM5 menu (spm_Menu.fig) was made by GUIDE in matlab 7,
so am afraid you have to upgrade to a more recent matlab version (matlab
6 is quite old)... In matlab 7 it runs fine, although it is a bit ugly.
Perhaps others can confirm this? It is merely a hunch of what is causing
your problem, when reading the error message...
Cheers,
Bas

Onderwerp: [SPM] SPM failure after update_958
Dear experts,
under windows, I updated SPM to 958. Using matlab 6.5, I received the
following error messages: ??? Error using ==> load Unable to read MAT
file c:\programme\spm5\spm_Menu.fig See FILEFORMATS for a list of known
file types and the functions used to read them. Error in ==>
C:\MATLAB6p5\toolbox\matlab\iofun\hgload.m
On line 45 ==> fileVars = load(filename,'-mat');
Error in ==> C:\MATLAB6p5\toolbox\matlab\graphics\openfig.m
On line 84 ==> [fig, oldvis] = hgload(filename,
struct('Visible','off'));
Error in ==> c:\programme\spm5\spm.m
On line 391 ==> Fmenu = openfig('spm_Menu');
Error in ==> c:\programme\spm5\spm.m
On line 356 ==> Fmenu = spm('CreateMenuWin','off');fprintf('.');
Although other users obviously had the same problem, I could not really
benefit from the respective contributions to the list. Can anybody
please help? Thanks, Cornelia
