CILIPS North East Branch AGM will be held at Aberdeen University Queen Mother Library on Thursday 8th November. Meeting starts at 6.30pm, or feel free to come along nearer 7pm to hear the speakers:
"The Profession at the Crossroads" - Christopher Phillips (Highland Council). The new president of CILIPS discusses the challenges facing today's library and information professionals.
"Schools and Universities: differences and similarities" - Gilian Dawson (Aberdeen University). Gilian examines the ways in which two educational systems, while on the surface appearing to be different, have strong similarities. Local initiatives to build on these similarities are used as illustration.
