the Wellcome Trust and the Documentary Filmmakers Group:
Science on Film – make a short film about the science that inspires you
The Wellcome Trust is offering researchers a unique opportunity to learn
the art of filmmaking through Science on Film – an intensive film
production and training scheme taught by leading broadcast professionals
and scientists.
The course includes:
* seminars by leading scientists and broadcasters
* script development workshops with broadcast producers
* intensive hands-on training in the documentary production process
Researchers and filmmakers will work in partnership to produce a short film
inspired by science, to be edited with support from professionals.
Films will premiere at a special gala event with leading TV and science
figures in attendance and will be showcased on Channel 4's FourDocs.
