Hi Jukka - I have been trying to investigate this a bit further:

We tried running it with the basic -f and -o flags plus -format float
and -movecomp options.

The problem seems to occur whenever -movecomp is involved (we
routinely use cHPI, so movecomp is always used). The laconic error
message 'program died to due signal 11, core dump disabled' does not
give much info. Without the movecomp, it seems to run OK (although I
can't comment on the correct execution).

I attempted at execting the operation in two steps (first sss, then
movecomp - the latter with -force flag) but am not sure it runs
correctly; at least in my test case it ran through the file and
concluded that 'all tags are marked bad, no output file produced!'.

Like a I said, ST option allows everything to be run at once, albeit
very slowly.

Would there be a workaround or, better still, a fix?

many thanks,
yury
