It depends on many factors. How much do you want to spend?
The one clear recommendation, if you want to run Linux, is to buy
Intel and not AMD (which has fallen behind Intel in speed). We would
recommend getting _at least_ a dual-CPU, and having _at least_ 1GB
RAM per CPU (and at least 4GB total).
