which works with Mexican and Central American migrant workers trafficked
into forced labour within the US agricultural industry.

Over the past decade the CIW has uncovered, investigated and assisted in
the prosecution of six slavery cases, secured the release of 1000
workers held in debt bondage, and successfully campaigned for corporate
buyers to eliminate the existence of forced labour within their supply
chains.
Their educational programmes about forced labour and exploitation aim to
empower the migrant farm worker communities and their active campaigning
offers workers the opportunity to participate in the wider struggle to
improve industry standards and take back control of their lives.
The Guardian's Special Correspondent Felicity Lawrence, Shahid Malik MP
and Minister for DFID, and Anti-Slavery International's Director Aidan
McQuade will be speaking also.
The ceremony will be held on Wednesday 21st November at 7.30pm, at
Trades Union Congress, Congress House, Great Russell Street, London WC1B
3LS. Every-one is welcome but please register your attendance by
emailing [log in to unmask] or calling 020 7501 8936. An
invitation with further information is attached and please feel free to
circulate this amongst your contacts.
Please do come and join us for the ceremony and a drinks reception
afterwards.
If you have any further questions, please do let me know.
Kind regards
Gemma
