Dear All,
Just to let you know that the TRIP Database (www.tripdatabase.com) has just released a significant new upgrade. The main enhancements are as follows:
- The search algorithm has been re-written and is significantly improved.
- We have created a number of specialist search engines, from Allergy to Urology (see below for the full list). These specialist search engines allow users to simultaneously search the core TRIP content plus the top 10-15 journals specific to that area. We see these as a ‘bridge’ between TRIP and the full Medline.
- New content, we've added a load of web 2.0 content, wikis, podcasts and webcasts.
- A trial of linking to approved education. For the launch this is restricted to the UK but if the trial works we'll introduce education from around the world.
- Both the web 2.0 and UK-approved education are placed in the new category ‘More’, so they can be ignored!
- Ability to arrange results by ‘relevance’ or by year.
There are a fair few other enhancements, but those are the main ones. As eve, I’d love to hear any feedback.
Best wishes
Jon
