Hi everybody,
just to let you know that I have accepted an academic tenure track
appointment as an assistant professor with the University of Calgary,
Faculty of Medicine, Dept of Community Health Sciences, Program of
Community Rehabilitation and Disability Studies (CRDS).
I was in the faculty for over 15 years but did mainly biochemistry and
did my disability related work on the side. Because of that I was never
able to hire or supervise students related to disability topics.
THis is changing now.
For people who do not know me if you go to my webpage you get an idea
what I do. I covered many different aspects related to disabled people
rights during my life but in the last 20 years it was around different
ethics issues and new and emerging technologies.
I will start in August 2008 and if there are students who are interested
to do PhD or Post Doc around new and emerging technologies which is
mostly nanotechnology, biotechnology and genetics, cognitive sciences
neuromorphic engineering, synthetic biology and IT as it relates to the
four and the social impact including on disabled people
feel free to contact me.
And we can talk more about parameters, feasibility......
.
Cheers
Gregor
