The cost of the radon dataset depends on the area of your borough it seems. We're 390 square km and for example 2 to 5 seats for 1 year costs £504 (1 seat = £402). I'd recommend getting in touch with the BGS guys to get your own quote...

Does anyone know how much it costs to licence the BGS data?
Or if we have to have it in order to answer the CON29 or if we can just
use Rob's approach?
We've had areas declassified. Try explaining that to house buyers...

Just to add our 2 penneth
We've spoken to the BGS regarding the maps which are downloadable from
the
BRE website. They have not seen these maps and were only made aware of
the
new BRE doc this monday. Apparently this document is to be issued next
friday, but don't hold your breath.
Apparently the BGS are using new 50,000 scale maps for the radon
assessment
rather than the previous 250,000 scale map, and is banded in 5
bandwidths
(as mentioned in other posts). Whether the BRE maps which are
downloadable
have been simplified from the more complex BGS banding, the BGS do not
know.
They have not been provided a copy of the new BRE 211 docuemnt, even
though
they are sending searches out now in accordance with BRE 211 (2007).
Sounds typical British guidance - lack of consultation and
co-ordination.
Are we going to have many tiers of assessment HPA/BRE vs BGS???
On another note - any news of CIRIA C665 - considering the mods to C659
comprised a few typos surely this document should have been issued
before
now!! Only taken 6 months+ at the moment!!!
