I think he meant open up the discussion. It was a pilot. There are a number of other UK institutions who have opened coursefeed on campus, and Andy was just encouraging bringing the discussion out of a closed group into the wider arena, I believe. Reading, Aberdeen, York, Leicester, Bath Spa...

Hi Andy,
As I understand it this was a pilot and given the amount of concern
posted about the product on various list-servs, I think they have
stopped new institutions joing at present whilst they reconsider. As
Kate's in the pilot she might know better.
Malcolm.

Subject: coursefeed, facebook and blackboard
Dear All,
I've been having a chat with Mike (Durham), Kate and Paul (Teeside)
about coursefeed and blackboard (allows Bbd material to be available
through facebook). I thought it might be useful to open it up.
In terms of the set up, it looks like you have to request your
institution to be added to the list. So I was wondering, has anyone
added their institution to the list? and what have been their
experiences? and are you willing to share it?
Cheers
Andy
