Classifiers in Medicine and Biology
£23,692 - £26,666 per annum
We are seeking to recruit a Post-Doctoral Research Assistant for CLIMB -
Classifiers in Medicine and Biology, a research project funded by the
Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council.

University of Sheffield and the University of East Anglia, see the

The Post-Doctoral Research Assistant will be based at the University of
Glasgow and two PhD students will each be based at the other two sites.
You will pursue research involving the development of new statistical
machine learning methodology which addresses
1. Semi-supervised learning,
2. Label Bias and Covariate Shift,
3. Classification in the presence of label noise.
These will be applied to problems in bioinformatics and clinical proteomics
in particular. You will have recently completed or be nearing completion of
a PhD and have a good understanding of Statistical inference and Bayesian
methods. The funding for this post is available for 3 years.
