Hi Winnie
Install 32 bit python first, then add the LAL package.
You'll need to pull the 32bit python RPM from SL i386 and stick it in
a local repository (or install by hand).
Finally, make a link from /opt/glite/bin/python2 to /usr/bin/python32.
As an aside we discussed the availability of python32 on 64 bit
worker nodes for ATLAS in our operations meeting today and it is
required (should be in the path and called "python32"). It will be
added to the VO card and announced at the EGEE Ops meeting next week.
Cheers
Graeme
PS. cfengine recipe for the above available on request!
