I don't really want to renounce the poetry loves of my childhood and
adolescence, including "John Brown's Body," although that wouldn't be at
the top of my list. Some Masefield would, like "Spanish Waters." Gibran
wouldn't, although he was a favorite of my parents. But right at the
top, three names: Don Marquis, whom we've discussed here already, Robert
Service and Joseph Moncure March. And I still love all of thee.
