The National Disability Authority (NDA) is the national independent
statutory body established to advise the Minister for Justice, Equality and
Law Reform on policy and practice relating to people with disabilities.

NDA is now seeking to recruit the following:
Research Officer Part-time (job-sharing), Permanent
The Research Officer will assist and support in achieving NDAs objectives
through undertaking research and evaluation projects.
The following are considered essential criteria for this post:
A relevant post-graduate qualification or equivalent qualification
3 years post-graduate experience in undertaking research and evaluation
studies
A sound knowledge of research (both quantitative and qualitative) and
evaluation methods including knowledge of disability related research and
statistics
Well developed report-writing and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills including an ability to work on own
initiative complemented by a capacity to work well in teams
Experience in quantitative data analysis utilising relevant information
and communication technologies, including SPSS or equivalent.
The following criteria are considered highly desirable for the post:
Experience in commissioning research and in management of commissioned
research
An understanding of the Irish disability policy environment
Salary: 36,068 - 59,102 p.a. pro rata.
Research Assistant Permanent
The Research Assistant will assist and support the staff in the Research
Unit in undertaking research and evaluation projects. The Research Assistant
will also manage and oversee, with support, NDAs Research Promotion Scheme,
our Scholarship Scheme and the Database of Disability Research. Candidates
should have a primary degree in the human or social sciences and experience
in designing and conducting research and evaluation studies.
The following are considered essential criteria for this post:
A relevant under-graduate qualification or equivalent qualification
A sound knowledge of research (both quantitative and qualitative) and
evaluation methods
Experience in establishing and management of databases
Experience in report-writing
Excellent interpersonal skills including an ability to work on own
initiative, complemented by a capacity to work well in teams
Experience in quantitative data analysis utilising relevant information
and communication technologies, including SPSS or equivalent.
The following criteria are considered highly desirable for the post:
An understanding of the Irish disability policy environment
Knowledge of disability related research and statistics
Experience in report editing
Salary: 40,603 - 49,130 p.a. pro rata.
