Using SARS to research the experience of ethnic minorities
This years RSS/SRA Cathie Marsh memorial lecture aims to illustrate how the
Samples of anonymised records (SARS) from the British Census together with
small area statistics can be used to look at key issues of social concern
about the different labour market experiences of minority ethnic groups. It
will be highly relevant both for practitioners who want to understand more
about patterns of minority ethnic employment in local areas and for academic
researchers who are interested in this substantive area or in the use of
Census based data as a resource for research.
