Subject: 10x10 - project development for London's documentary filmmakers

Come and join the London doc community - and get feedback on your doc-
in-progress at the same time! 10x10 is a new workshop hosted by the
Documentary Filmmakers Group (DFG) in partnership with Doculink - the
U.S./Canada based documentary-makers group and listserve.

When - 17th October, 7.30pm
Where - DFG, Dalston

Here's how it works: bring up to ten minutes of your work-in-progress
and get ten minutes of feedback from the group. It can be anything
you're working on - a trailer, an excerpt, the opening of your film,
a key
scene etc...

Whether you want to come screen or just be one of the viewers at the
event, it's a great opportunity to gain support, get crucial
feedback, meet your peers and feel part of the independent London doc
community. It's also a rare chance to see what others are working on
and gain a hands-on perspective of what works, what doesn't and why.

There are only FOUR guaranteed screening slots so get in fast, but do
come along whether you have something you want to screen or not -
you'll get to hear points-of-view you'd otherwise not come into
contact with that could widen your approach to your work. We'll
either have a drink together at the venue or continue our
conversation down the pub after the event.

The 10x10 format was created by Doculink, and has been running since
2005 in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver, BC. It's still
quite a new thing here in the UK. If it's going to work then we need
YOU, the
London doc community to get involved! Our first three sessions have
attracted a regular crowd of filmmakers.

Participation is free and on a first-come-first-served basis. Send us
a line now at [log in to unmask] to ensure getting on the list to
screen and also if you want to come as a viewer. Space is limited.

When - 17th October, 7.30pm
Where - Documentary Filmmakers Group,
4th Floor, Shacklewell Studios,
28 Shacklewell Lane,
London,
E8 2EZ
