Thanks, Doug. My source was pretty funny and deliberately over-emphatic at
the same time. I quite consciously extrapolate from the possibilities he
extracts from parentheses & brackets [wouldn't be surprised if Acconci
invokes phenomenological bracketing as well]. Despite the less thn ideal
preservation of my text from its original publication in "Cento", I will
