Dear All,
Just joined JISCmail today so thought I would start with a question! Could
I ask those who work within the NHS looking after EPP workers what they
regard as an acceptable level of Anti-HBs protection for this group. There
seems to be a great variance of practice within my region alone concerning
this issue, ranging from not checking the Anti-HBs levels at all but
instead performing annual HBSAG on all EPP workers, to only accepting a
IVS sample of >100 iu/l. I am aware of the 'Green Book' guidance on Anti-
HBs levels post vaccination, but EEP workers seem to be a 'special group'
with only local policy offering justification for the amount of times
these folk are bled/jabbed!
Thanks
Michael
