medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
And keep the copyright to themselves.
A friend had a recent experience with Brill for a
transcription/translation/commentary of a unique 15thC ms, an
unparalleled source for Ottoman history. Brill said, Sure, for
$30,000. I don't see why this is different from vanity publishing,
other than their publicity, & the fact that innumerable libraries will
automatically buy from their list.
